Leads unit on student communications including, but not limited to, applying for graduation, missing requirements for degree and certificate applicants, honors designations, and commencement details.
· Oversees the planning and organization of commencement ceremonies in relation to the setup, worker assignments, ticket distribution list, Honors designation list, student line-up, processional, and distribution of pinned scrolls.
· Oversee the reporting of enrolment data to the University Grants Commission (UGC), as well as difficulties experienced by students, such as securing loan deferments and other related matters.
· Oversee registration services by developing and documenting policies and procedures, implementing and maintaining effective systems, and working in cooperation with the Registrar and others to ensure academic policies and procedures are enforced and proper records are maintained.
· Develop, disseminate, and enforce the registration sequence for each registration cycle, including setting priority dates for approved categories of students, and supervising the input, maintenance, and testing of the prerequisite checking, registration sequence, refund, and cancellation tables on the University database system.
· Provide assistance with electronically filing and updating all Programs of Study and courses for approval and compliance with UGC in Colleague; ensure that all Programs of Study meet UGC curriculum standards; enter and build all local programs that fall under approved state programs.
· Provide assistance with accurate program submission to the UGC and verify the accuracy of Programs of Study that are filed, approved and match courses in the Academic Catalog.
· Provide software support and conduct training for faculty, entering attendance and final semester grades.
