An enthusiastic, self-motivated individual, who always strives to achieve a very high standard in whatever is undertaken. Being a seafarer, my career has exposed me to various situations and challenges in a multi racial team. All challenges that I have faced in my career were overcome smoothly with good teamwork and dedication. My experience has made me a very dynamic person and helped to develop my interpersonal skills. It has taught me the value of working in a team. My desire to learn new things and grow was the reason for me joining ashore as a Marine Terminal Superintendent of an FSRU LNG terminal. From there I have worked my way up to becoming project manager for newly developing FSRU LNG terminal. I am very well versed with LNG cargo handling equipment, LNG storage facilities and LNG regasification equipment. I have worked with the LNG industry for a long time and very well versed with FSRU operations. I have dealt with various contracts and negotiated agreements which includes LNG Terminal User Agreements, Time Charter Party agreements, LNG SPA etc. I am also doing my MSc in engineering where my topic of thesis is "Ageing of Offshore assets - Issues and challenges and how to extend their lifetime."
WIth my performance in my previous role as Marine Terminal Superintendent, the company promoted me to Project Manager for Summit's new FSRU terminal that is being constructed.
My current Job scope involves, but not limited to, Supervise/ Monitor/Manage Project Works (Design, Construction, Testing & Commissioning etc.) for on time completion of off-shore LNG Terminal II and associated facilities including mooring of FSRU, sub-sea pipeline, metering station, onshore platforms etc.
A brief of my job as follows:
Being one of the few Steam Engineers in Bangladesh. I have been appointed by Bangladesh Marine Academy to conduct Preparatory Course on Marine Engineering Officer Class - 3 (Steamship). I have conducted training for 2 batches of students. This will help the students get their steam endorsement to serve onboard the FSRUs operating in Bangladesh. I started sailing as an Marine Engineer Officer from January 2011 till I setlled ashore in February 2020.
