Job Overview:The Computer Operator will be responsible for monitoring and managing computer systems and networks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Computer Systems: Regularly check computer systems, servers, and network performance, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
• Data Management: Perform data backups and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and security.
• System Maintenance: Schedule and execute routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate IT personnel.
• Operational Support: Provide technical support to users, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to computer systems and applications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and security protocols, safeguarding sensitive information and preventing unauthorized access.
• Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements to management.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), understanding of networking principles, and familiarity with various software applications.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Availability: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
