Its main role is to provide technical and programmatic support for rolling out child protection (CP) resource packages, including Positive Parenting, Online Safety, COVID-19 handouts, Ending Child Marriage, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Violence against Children and Women (VACW), in 41 Districts of Bangladesh, including Cox’s Bazar (Host community).

Support to enhance the use of toll-free child helpline (1098) and 109 to- i) MoWCA including Bangladesh Shishu Academy (BSA); ii) Division of Women Affairs (DWA) field officials, Kishor Kishori clubs (KKCs) and Gender Promoters and Accelerated Protection for Children (APC) clubs; iii) Front line workers of APC and KKC project; iv) Parents, caregivers and CBCPC members; v) Social Workers and other relevant CP actors; vi) health facilities; vii) school premises.
To ensure monitoring and implementation of the child protection-harmful practices (HP) like child marriage and violence against children and women (VACW) programme in coordination and collaboration with the government and other relevant stakeholders.
To enhance coordination and capacity building of social workforce and community volunteers and to ensure identification and referral of violence cases are established and fully functioning.
To build up the capacity in line with the national sustainability strategy and violence against children UN Agency internal strategy, the Child Protection Program Strategy Note (CP PSN) and the national VAC action plan.
Ensuring Quality Child Protection (CP) (HP and VAC) Program implementation.
Working with Community Based Child Protection Committee, Child Marriage Prevention committee, religious, police, social welfare, militaries and all other services including donor agencies for effective implementation.
Coordinate and collaborate with community volunteers to establish and community-based system and a family-strengthening approach.
Build up the capacity of the adolescent club members, parents, caregivers, CBCPC and other relevant Child Protection (CP) actors.
Ensure supply and logistics for implementing the activity nationwide.
Monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance of the program.
Develop Annual Work Plan (AWP), Reporting and documentation, Budget tracking & Monitoring.
Support to develop project proposal, concept note, CP-related different modules, SitRep, PCR, sector assessments/reports, PCR and ToRs.
Ensures that UNICEF’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People, PSEA, SGBV, CP and Gender Equality and Inclusion.
Support in the Financial management of the implementing partner.
Capacity building of the implementing partners’ staff.
