2. Operate visual signaling equipment, flags, and semaphore systems to communicate messages between naval vessels or with shore installations.

3. Maintain and operate weapons systems on naval vessels, including guns, missiles, and torpedoes, ensuring readiness for combat situations.

4. Perform a variety of tasks such as painting, cleaning, and general maintenance to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the vessel.

5. Operate radio and telecommunications equipment to maintain communication with other vessels, shore facilities, and command headquarters.

6. Steer the vessel under the direction of the officer of the watch, maintaining course and speed according to navigation orders and ensuring safe navigation.
