· Drive company-wide cost efficiencies through a TCO-driven procurement model considering not just price, but lifecycle costs, quality, reliability, and risk.

· Leverage strategic sourcing, volume aggregation, standardization, and demand management to reduce spend while enhancing value creation.

· Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities across categories through strategic sourcing, demand management, and value engineering.

Global and Local Sourcing Strategy:

· Create and manage a robust supplier network across continents to reduce single-source dependencies and increase sourcing resilience.

Project Procurement:

· Lead procurement involvement in greenfield and brownfield projects — ensuring material availability, supplier readiness, and budget adherence from concept to execution.

Sustainability and ESG Integration:

· Embed ESG principles in supplier selection, contract management, and sourcing decisions to align with corporate sustainability objectives.

· Lead the procurement projects under decarbonisation (EV, Calcined Clay etc), and circular economy (Exmp. CDM Sourcing) initiatives.

Contribution to Sales and Operation Planning:

· Play a proactive role in S&OP by aligning procurement plans for RM and Packaging Materials with demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and production schedules.

Cross-functional Alignment:

· Collaborate with logistics, manufacturing, and engineering to uncover end-to-end value improvements in the supply chain.

Capacity Building and Team Management:

Build a high-performing procurement organization with strong commercial, analytical, and stakeholder engagement capabilities focused on cost leadership.

• Manage the category sourcing for Raw Materials, Capex, Equipment & Consumables, Mining, Inbound Logistics, Industrial Services and Operational Procurement.
• Manage the overall procurement of Lafarge Umiam Mining Private Limited (LUMPL) in India.
• Oversee the overall planning of raw materials and inbound logistics for all four plants in Bangladesh.
• Oversee the all type of Importation and the procurement of Foreign Service.
• Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies aiming to achieve target benefits and financial savings, including the monitoring and approval of individual category strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure sustained value throughout contract terms, focusing on exceeding performance targets in cost, service, and quality.
• Contribute to EBITDA improvement by leading cost optimization projects.
• Execute supplier rationalization initiatives to streamline procurement processes.

• Lead Plant Purchase team for buying S&IM (Service & Indirect Materials) and Capex such as, Process Machines, Equipment, Building and Structures, Maintenance & Improvement (M&I), Sundry and operating supplies for production, Technical Store Materials etc. at a cost effective way.
• Solicit bids, analyze quotations, perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) & savings calculation and select products and vendors consistent with existing policies and procedures.
• Playing a major role as a member of Project implementation team from S&IM Dept. by providing procurement support for consultancy services, civil work, project machinery, different types of fabrication and modification work, electrical and automation setup, Machine installation and commissioning etc.
• Assist Engineering Dept. for proper Inventory management of Technical Store Materials which contains 2333 SKUs.
• Lead cross functional team including User Dept. to develop new & increase existing supplier portfolio (through Supplier sourcing, vendor site visit etc.)

• Central Distribution Center Operation Duties/Responsibilities:
• Was responsible for the inventory management and distribution of 6600 SKUS including Logistics Planning. Led a team of 19 persons for overall CDC operation.
• Regularly performed ABC analysis to observe dominating SKUs and also analyze the EOQ, MOQ, ROL, SS, and TBO for these.
• Analyzed data obtained from SAP and find out Demand Vs Delivery efficiency and the reasons behind the difference.
• Did Logistics Plan for weekly delivery and circulate it to all concerned department for proper functioning.
• Worked with the inventory tool MRP and based on SAP system raise PR to buying Dept. for loose commodities
• Analyzed supplier delivery efficiency by calculating Line fill rate and Batch fill rate.
