Masters in Computer Science student with specialization in AI/ML and cloud computing. Expertise in Python and machine learning, consistently enhancing model performance in collaborative projects. Demonstrated success in mentoring students at AIS, promoting growth in AI research, software Engineering, leadership and teamwork.

A highly motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, proficient in Java, Python, web development, and database management. Skilled in algorithm design, software debugging, and version control using Git. Eager to apply technical and problem-solving abilities in a challenging role to contribute to innovative projects and gain hands-on experience in the software industry.

Yasura Dissanayake is a strategic Senior Software Engineer and Technology Innovator with over eight years of experience designing, architecting, and delivering high-performance digital solutions across enterprise environments. He specializes in full-stack engineering, cloud-native architecture, and AI-powered automation, consistently driving improvements in system reliability, scalability, and user experience. Yasura excels at translating complex business goals into practical technical solutions, shaping engineering approaches, and guiding teams toward high-quality, maintainable delivery. He has led major initiatives across global product teams, integrating intelligent automation, modernizing distributed systems, and engineering platforms that streamline operations and support long-term growth. Recognized for his ability to align technical delivery with organizational priorities, Yasura builds strong relationships across engineering, product, and leadership teams. He brings a thoughtful, collaborative, and future-focused approach to solving problems-balancing innovation, feasibility, and real-world impact to deliver solutions that empower users and accelerate business outcomes.

Results-driven frontend software engineer with hands-on experience building clean, responsive web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern tools like hooks, state management, and performance optimizations. After starting out in IT support at The Cellular Connection—where I handled troubleshooting, device setups, and light scripting—I transitioned into full-time development, owning features end-to-end and refactoring legacy code to make things faster and easier to maintain.
These days I freelance, delivering quick-turnaround projects for small businesses and startups: everything from polished React UIs to simple AI-powered features (chatbots, content tools, basic ML integrations via Python and APIs like OpenAI or Hugging Face) that actually solve real problems without over complicating things. I thrive on turning client ideas into working products fast, iterating based on feedback, and keeping code maintainable so it's not a headache down the road. Always learning—whether it's new frontend patterns or practical ways to bring AI into everyday apps—and excited to bring that mix of reliability and curiosity to the right team or project.
