To identify stakeholder resources available to support implementation of the National Action Plan for AMR Containment (NAP),
To identify key stakeholders for AMR containment (ARC) advocacy,
To identify factors that could influence the sustainability of AMR containment activities.
To identify key issues and messages that may be considered for developing an AMR advocacy strategy, tools and communication materials.
To manage all the components of Communicable Disease Control (CDC) OP as well as to collaborate with other national and International organisations.
Prof. Sanya Tahmina actively led the development of the National strategy for AMR containment with multisectoral approach which has been endorsed by the National steering committee headed by honourable Minister, MoHFW. Later on National action plan and road map to achieve the strategy has been developed which has been approved by the National technical committee. GARP Bangladesh was launched in 2016 and Prof. Tahmina was the Chairperson of the GARP-B. Under her supervision, ‘the situation analysis and recommendation on Antibiotic resistance' has been done and disseminated in 2018. Bangladesh shares the AMR data in WHO-GLASS platform since 2019. She was actively involved in the Fleming Fund project introduction in Bangladesh with giving important feedback to develop the RFP when she was working as the LD, CDC. During this period, she actively engaged to work with USAID MTaPS Program for mapping the Implementation status of National Action Plan for AMR. She has been working on different aspects of AMR in collaboration with CDC, DGHS and different development partners namely Fleming Fund Country Grant, Bangladesh and USAID-MTaPS
