- Diligently ensured control of Power Generation, Power Factor, Adjustment of Generator Voltage and changing Tap position of Main Transformer
- Worked on software and control system (Woodward). Hourly reading of many vital data was required in every shift while machine was operational along with bus and grid voltage.
- Ensured the data would be written down and recorded into Excel sheets. As a member of operations, there were three shifts (night, evening and morning). Each shift would start with visual inspection of Gas Turbines, Breakers, Transformers and auxiliaries for any anomalies. If any were found during shift hours, they would be reported to Maintenance Team. While plant was in shutdown, every three hundred running hours, a shutdown water wash with detergent was carried out.
- Ensured safe work during repairs and scheduled maintenance, when both operations and maintenance team members would be present and each work order would have to be signed by a member of the operations team and the respective machine breaker would be isolated and locked with a key for safety. A lock out tag would be placed on the breaker panel.
