My family from my father's side were sent to Bengal by the Moghul Emperor Jahangir and my mother was from a Land Lord family in Murshidabad, the old capitol of Bengal before the British made Calcutta the capitol.
From an early age I developed an interest in the different shapes and sizes - square ones, circular ones, five sided ones and so on since our household had so many different types. Then my uncle took me to Holland when I was four years plus and took me to a coin museum in Amsterdam which griped my imagination since I had not seen so called "obsolete objects" as my mother said, displayed so beautifully and people admiring them.
So, after I came back home, I requested my father to get me a one sided glass wardrobe to display my increasing collection!
Now, I have catalogued them and keep for my private viewing only as most of friends and family thinks I am being childish and waste my time taking care of them.
My oldest coin is worth more than USD 25000, but it's not for sale!
