- Undergraduate Thesis: Computational Analysis of the Effect of Mitral Regurgitation on Ventricular Mechanics Using a 3D Electromechanics Model, researchgate.net/publication/360009529, Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Shavik, My undergraduate thesis employed Finite Element Modeling with MATLAB, Python, and FEniCS software to simulate healthy and diseased states of the left ventricle affected by mitral regurgitation. Results showed increased ejection fraction and circumferential strain with higher MR severity, indicating a greater workload on the heart. This work provided new insights into left ventricular biomechanics under mitral regurgitation conditions.
- Experimental and Numerical Study on Internal Forced Convection Heat Transfer in Horizontal Tube, researchgate.net/publication/361445224, Dr. Sumon Saha, This study investigates heat transfer in a horizontal circular tube heated electrically, with airflow controlled by an induced draft fan. The paper focuses on internal forced convection, adjusting airflow via a flow controller. Numerical simulations were conducted using COMSOL to analyze fluid behavior under various heating conditions.
