Thesis Projects

1. Master's Thesis: Investigating the role of PEN1-SYP122 syntaxins in mlo-based resistance and analyzing the mobility of membrane trafficking components and their involvement in pre-invasive immunity of Arabidopsis thaliana, 08/23/22- 06/22/23

  • Identify the roles of PEN1/SYP122 syntaxins, Rab5 GTPases (ARA7-QL), and exosomes in pre-invasive immunity of Arabidopsis against powdery mildew
  • Used confocal imaging techniques to check their localization, co-localization patterns, analyzed and quantified the fluorescence level of these proteins near the infection site/papilla using Las X Leica Microsystem, Gateway cloning method for cloning NahG into pK2GW7 destination vector, electroporation into E. coli, Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of the cloned plasmid into mlo6/12-pen1-syp122-fmo1 mutant line, colony PCR, gel electrophoresis, qPCR, restriction digestion

2. Analyzing lung capacity for COVID-recovered patients and 3D bio-printing, 11/07/20-05/05/21

  • Review paper, research on transplantation, transplantation efficiency, successful cases, 3D bioprinting, and its efficacy
  • Analyzing if organs can be 3D printed successfully and finding cases., Analyzing if 3D bio-printed lungs can be transplanted., Graft vs Host reaction.
